Tamiya 1/48 Fairey Swordfish MK II Model Kit

The Fairey Swordfish Mk.II was the upgraded "Stringbag" with a strengthened lower wing for carrying eight RP-3 rocket projectiles, transforming it into a potent anti-submarine weapon. Swordfish Mk.IIs flew from escort carriers throughout the Battle of the Atlantic, using ASV Mk.II radar and rockets to hunt U-boats. The biplane outlasted its monoplane replacement (the Barracuda) in the anti-submarine role. Tamiya's 1/48 kit features the rocket rails, ASV radar, and detailed Pegasus engine.
