Tamiya 1/48 P-51B Mustang Model Kit

The P-51B was the first Merlin-engined Mustang variant, transforming a mediocre low-altitude fighter into the war's greatest. The Rolls-Royce Merlin V-1650-3 with two-stage supercharger gave the P-51B outstanding high-altitude performance. Distinguished by its razorback fuselage and Malcolm hood canopy, P-51Bs of the 8th and 9th Air Forces began escorting bombers deep into Germany from early 1944. Tamiya's 1/48 kit features the razorback profile with optional Malcolm hood.
