Marketplace Overview

The Bounty Board is a peer-to-peer marketplace for model kit parts and hobby supplies. Buyers post requests (“bounties”) for specific parts, runners, or complete kits from any manufacturer. Sellers respond with offers. All transactions are facilitated through the platform with payment escrow for buyer protection. The marketplace is currently available to buyers and sellers within the United States only.

Fees

• Sellers keep 100%: no listing fees, no commission, no payout deductions — your price is your payout
• Buyer Protection fee: $0.99 + 8% of the item price, dropping to 5% above $150 (8% with no base fee for AG Hangar members), shown as an itemized line at checkout before you pay
• Buyer Protection covers escrow, payment security, and dispute resolution — and is refunded in full if your order is fully refunded
• Stripe payment processing fees are absorbed by the platform — no hidden fees
• Buyers pay the item price + Buyer Protection + shipping (or free shipping for AG Hangar members)
• Free for sellers to join, list, and make offers

Shipping

• Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on package dimensions and buyer address
• Non-members: Buyer pays shipping at checkout
• AG Hangar members: Flat $4.95 shipping on bounty purchases, up to 4 per month
• Shipping labels are purchased through the platform via EasyPost
• Seller ships the part using the provided label after payment is confirmed
• The platform absorbs any rate difference between the quoted rate and actual cost

Payment & Escrow

• Payments are processed via Stripe (credit/debit cards and supported payment methods)
• All funds are held in escrow on the platform account
• After delivery is confirmed, a 5 business day hold period begins
• If no dispute is opened during the hold period, funds are automatically released to the seller's connected Stripe account
• Buyers can also confirm receipt early to release funds to the seller immediately from the bounty detail page
• An hourly job checks for eligible escrow releases
• Seller payout = the full part price (you keep 100%)

Disputes

• Buyers can open a dispute after the item has shipped
• Opening a dispute freezes the escrow — no funds are released while a dispute is active
• Disputes are reviewed and resolved within the escrow period by platform administrators
• Possible resolutions: full refund to buyer, partial refund, or release funds to seller
• Provide photos and detailed descriptions when opening a dispute for faster resolution

Seller Requirements

• Sellers must create a seller profile and connect a Stripe account to receive payouts
• Stripe Connect verification must be completed (charges and payouts enabled) before funds can be released
• Sellers with 3 or more strikes may be suspended from the marketplace
• Offers expire after 7 days if not accepted

Prohibited Items

• Dangerous or hazardous materials
• Items unrelated to the scale modeling hobby
• Stolen goods
• 3D prints that reproduce official kit parts. Printed parts are welcome, but only your own original or custom designs — bases, stands, adapters, kitbash parts, generic pegs. Reproducing a Bandai (or any manufacturer's) part is copying someone else's product, and listing it here would mean we distribute it.

Printed Parts

Selling a genuine part you own — a spare runner, a piece from a kit you bought — is the Board's core use case and is unaffected by anything here. The rules below apply only when you 3D-print the part yourself. The distinction is who manufactured it, not where the design came from.

• Original work only. Your own design, or a custom one you have the right to sell. Bases, stands, display adapters, kitbash parts and generic hardware all qualify.
• No reproductions of official parts, whether you modelled them yourself, scanned them, or downloaded the file. That includes replacements for a part someone lost — we know that is the sympathetic case, and it is still a copy of Bandai's product.
• Mark it as printed and show it. Printed offers must be flagged as printed and must include at least one photo of the part you actually printed — not a render, and not the file preview.
• You confirm the origin. Offering a printed part requires confirming the design is your own. We record that confirmation.
• We do not host, sell or transfer STL or other model files — only finished printed parts.
