Hasegawa 1/72 Lancaster B MK III RAF Model Kit

The Avro Lancaster B Mk.III was the most successful RAF heavy bomber of WWII, carrying the heaviest bomb loads of any Allied bomber including the 22,000-pound Grand Slam earthquake bomb. The Lancaster flew 156,000 sorties and dropped over 600,000 tons of bombs on Nazi-occupied Europe. The Mk.III was the main production variant, powered by four Rolls-Royce Merlin 28 engines. Famous Lancaster operations include the Dambusters raid (Operation Chastise) and the sinking of the Tirpitz.
