Italeri 1/72 P-51A Mustang Model Kit

The North American P-51A Mustang is the early Allison-engined variant that preceded the legendary Merlin-powered P-51D. The P-51A featured the original razorback fuselage and the Allison V-1710 engine that provided good low-altitude performance but suffered at height. Despite this limitation, P-51As served effectively in the China-Burma-India theater and with the 1st Air Commando Group. This 1/72 scale Italeri kit captures the clean lines of the early Mustang before the iconic bubble canopy transformation.
