Italeri 1/72 FW-190D-9 Dora Model Kit

The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 "Dora" was the long-nosed, inline-engined variant of Kurt Tank's legendary fighter, powered by the Junkers Jumo 213A that gave it excellent high-altitude performance. The D-9 represented a radical departure from the radial-engined A-series, trading the BMW 801's compact profile for a longer, sleeker nose. The Dora was widely considered the Luftwaffe's best piston-engine fighter when it entered service in late 1944. This 1/72 scale Italeri kit captures the distinctive elongated cowling.
