The Sd.Kfz.231 (8-Rad) was Germany's premier heavy armored reconnaissance vehicle, an 8-wheeled design with all-wheel steering that could drive equally fast in both directions. Armed with a 20mm autocannon and coaxial MG, it provided long-range reconnaissance for Panzer divisions across all fronts. The complex 8-wheel drive and steering system was an engineering marvel of the 1930s. Tamiya's 1/35 kit features all eight independently sprung wheels, frame antenna option, and detailed turret.
