The M3A1 Scout Car was the US Army's standard armored reconnaissance vehicle from 1939, with over 20,000 produced by White Motor Company. Its open-topped armored body carried a driver and up to seven troops, armed with a .50 cal and .30 cal machine guns on a skate rail mount. M3A1s served in every theater and were supplied extensively under Lend-Lease to the Soviet Union, Free French, and British forces.
