The HB Honda NSR500 was the 1989 500cc World Grand Prix machine campaigned by the Rothmans Honda satellite team with HB (cigarette brand) sponsorship. The NSR500 was Honda's V4 two-stroke GP weapon, producing over 160 horsepower from its 499cc engine. The 1989 season was dominated by Eddie Lawson on the factory Honda, but the satellite HB-sponsored entries demonstrated the NSR500's competitiveness even in privateer hands. The distinctive HB orange and white livery set this machine apart from the factory Rothmans scheme. Hasegawa captures the V4 engine, carbon fiber disc brakes, and GP-spec chassis.
