The Sd.Kfz.232 (6-Rad) was an early German six-wheeled heavy armored car with a distinctive frame antenna for long-range radio communication. Serving in the reconnaissance role during the pre-war period and early campaigns in Poland, France, and North Africa, it was one of Germany's first purpose-built armored reconnaissance vehicles. The large "bedspring" antenna made it instantly recognizable. Italeri's 1/72 fast-build kit includes the characteristic frame antenna.
