The Mitsubishi Ki-67 Hiryu (Flying Dragon), Allied codename "Peggy," was the Imperial Japanese Army's most capable heavy bomber of WWII. The Ki-67 was remarkably agile for a twin-engine bomber, with some pilots performing barrel rolls and other aerobatic maneuvers during combat. Powered by two Mitsubishi Ha-104 radial engines producing 1,900 horsepower each, the Hiryu could carry 1,600 kg of bombs or torpedoes at speeds exceeding 330 mph. The Ki-67 saw extensive service in the Philippines, Okinawa, and against the US fleet. Hasegawa captures this impressive Japanese bomber with detailed engine nacelles and bomb bay.
