The IAI Kfir (Lion Cub) is Israel's domestically developed fighter, based on the Dassault Mirage 5 airframe but powered by the General Electric J79 turbojet — the same engine that powered the F-4 Phantom. This 1/72 scale Italeri kit includes options for both the C2 and C7 variants. The Kfir's addition of canard foreplanes dramatically improved low-speed handling, and the type saw combat in Lebanon. A unique subject representing Israel's impressive aerospace independence and engineering ingenuity.
