Hasegawa 1/700 Ijn Destroyer Yugumo Model Kit

The IJN Yugumo was the lead ship of the Yugumo-class destroyers, the final fleet destroyer class completed by the Imperial Japanese Navy during WWII. Commissioned in 1941, the Yugumo class represented the culmination of Japanese destroyer design, armed with six 127mm guns and eight 610mm torpedo tubes carrying the devastating Type 93 "Long Lance" oxygen torpedo. The Yugumo was sunk during the Battle of Vella Lavella in October 1943. Hasegawa captures the sleek lines and powerful armament of this premier Japanese fleet destroyer at 1/700 waterline scale.
