The IJN Kaga was one of the Imperial Japanese Navy's six carriers that attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Originally laid down as a Tosa-class battleship, Kaga was converted to an aircraft carrier following the Washington Naval Treaty. At the time of Pearl Harbor, the Kaga carried the largest air group of any Japanese carrier with over 70 aircraft. Along with the Akagi, she formed the core of the First Air Fleet's striking power. The Kaga was sunk at the Battle of Midway by dive bombers from USS Enterprise on June 4, 1942. Hasegawa captures the massive converted carrier at 1/700 waterline scale.
