The IJN Zuiho was a light aircraft carrier converted from the submarine tender Takasaki. Capable of carrying 30 aircraft, the Zuiho served throughout the Pacific War, participating in the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands and the Battle of the Philippine Sea. At the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944, the Zuiho was one of the four carriers in Admiral Ozawa's decoy force designed to lure the American fleet away from the landing beaches. She was sunk during the Battle of Cape Engaño, fulfilling her role as bait. Hasegawa captures this light carrier at 1/700 waterline scale.
