Italeri 1/48 S-3A B Viking Model Kit

The Lockheed S-3A/B Viking is the U.S. Navy's carrier-based anti-submarine warfare jet, nicknamed "Hoover" for its distinctive engine sound. The twin-engine Viking carried sophisticated sonobuoy processing equipment, MAD boom, and torpedoes for submarine hunting. After the Cold War ASW mission diminished, Vikings were converted to tanker and surface surveillance roles.
