Hasegawa 1/48 Nakejima E8n1 95 Seaplane Model Kit

The Nakajima E8N1 Type 95 (Allied codename "Dave") was a biplane reconnaissance floatplane that served the Imperial Japanese Navy from the mid-1930s through the early Pacific War. Catapult-launched from cruisers and battleships, the E8N performed reconnaissance, gunfire spotting, and coastal patrol duties. The Type 95 was the predecessor to the more famous E13A Jake and saw action in the early months of the Pacific War before being relegated to training duties. The biplane configuration with twin floats creates a visually distinctive model. Hasegawa's 1/48 scale provides excellent detail for this rarely modeled subject.
