Tamiya 1/48 scale model of the Fieseler Fi 156C Storch (Stork). This remarkable STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) liaison aircraft could take off in 65 meters and land in just 18 meters thanks to its full-span leading-edge slats and slotted flaps. Used extensively for reconnaissance, artillery spotting, and VIP transport throughout WWII. Most famously used in the daring Gran Sasso raid to rescue Mussolini from a mountain-top hotel in 1943.
