Tamiya 1/35 Panzer IV 70a Model Kit

The Panzer IV/70(A) was Alkett's version of the Panzer IV-based tank destroyer, mounting the long 75mm L/70 gun (same as the Panther) in a modified Panzer IV Ausf.J superstructure. Distinguished from the Vomag-built Jagdpanzer IV/70(V) by its taller profile using the standard Panzer IV hull, the (A) variant was a wartime expedient to boost production. Despite being nose-heavy, the L/70 gun's penetration made it deadly against any Allied tank. Tamiya's 1/35 kit features the distinctive high superstructure and powerful gun.
