The Aichi M6A1 Seiran was Japan's audacious submarine-launched attack bomber, designed to be carried aboard the giant I-400 class submarines. Three Seirans would fold their wings and floats to fit inside waterproof hangars, launching via catapult for surprise strikes on the Panama Canal locks.
