Tamiya 1/72 Spitfire MK Vb Model Kit

The Spitfire Mk.Vb was the most-produced Spitfire variant, the RAF's standard fighter from mid-1941 through 1943. Powered by the Merlin 45 and armed with two 20mm cannons and four .303 machine guns, the Mk.Vb fought over the English Channel, Malta, North Africa, and the Far East. It was outclassed by the Fw 190A's arrival but remained the backbone of Fighter Command until the Mk.IX entered service. Tamiya's 1/72 kit captures the classic Spitfire profile.
