This two-pack features the Convair F-106A Delta Dart in 1976 US Bicentennial markings, celebrating America's 200th anniversary. The F-106 was the USAF's ultimate dedicated interceptor, designed to defend North America against Soviet bomber attacks during the Cold War. Armed with the Genie nuclear-tipped air-to-air rocket and AIM-4 Falcon missiles, the Delta Dart was guided to its targets by the SAGE ground-controlled intercept system. The Bicentennial schemes applied in 1976 featured patriotic red, white, and blue markings unique to each unit. Hasegawa includes two complete kits for building a pair of these elegant delta-winged interceptors.
