Tamiya 1/700 Uss Cushing Dd-797 Model Kit

Tamiya 1/700 Waterline Series model of the USS Cushing (DD-797), an Allen M. Sumner-class destroyer. An improvement over the Fletcher-class with six 5-inch/38 guns in three twin turrets and improved fire control. Cushing served in the final campaigns of the Pacific War including the Okinawa campaign, where destroyers bore the brunt of kamikaze attacks on the radar picket line. Later served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
