Tamiya 1/700 Waterline Series model of the IJN Mogami in her aircraft cruiser configuration. After suffering heavy damage at Midway, Mogami was rebuilt with her rear turrets replaced by an aircraft deck capable of operating 11 floatplanes. This unique hybrid cruiser-carrier conversion served at the Battle of the Philippine Sea and Leyte Gulf, where she was sunk during the Battle of Surigao Strait in October 1944.
