Tamiya 1/700 Waterline Series model of the IJN I-58, a B3-type cruiser submarine infamous for sinking the heavy cruiser USS Indianapolis on July 30, 1945—the worst shark-related disaster in history, with approximately 900 survivors in the water and only 316 rescued. I-58 was equipped with kaiten human-guided torpedoes, though Commander Hashimoto used conventional Type 95 torpedoes for the Indianapolis attack.
