Italeri 1/48 RF-4E Phantom II Model Kit

The McDonnell Douglas RF-4E Phantom II was the tactical reconnaissance export variant, replacing the nose-mounted radar with a multi-camera suite capable of panoramic, split-vertical, and forward-oblique photography. The RF-4E retained some self-defense capability and was widely exported to NATO allies including Germany, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Iran, and Japan. German RF-4Es flew critical reconnaissance missions during the Cold War, monitoring Warsaw Pact movements from bases near the inner German border.
