Italeri 1/48 Hurricane MK 1 Model Kit

The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was the true backbone of RAF Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain, equipping more squadrons and destroying more enemy aircraft than the better-known Spitfire. Its thick wing housed eight .303 Browning machine guns and was robust enough to absorb significant battle damage, while the fabric-covered rear fuselage was easier to repair than stressed-skin construction. Hurricane pilots claimed 55% of all enemy aircraft destroyed during the battle.
