Tamiya 1/48 F-14D Grumman Tomcat Model Kit

The F-14D was the ultimate Tomcat variant, replacing the troublesome TF30 engines with powerful General Electric F110-GE-400 turbofans and upgrading to the AN/APG-71 digital radar. The "Super Tomcat" could engage targets at over 100 miles with AIM-54C Phoenix while carrying a diverse air-to-ground ordnance suite including LGBs. Only 37 new-build F-14Ds were produced before production ended. Tamiya's 1/48 kit features the F110 engine nozzles and modernized avionics.
