Italeri 1/35 Schnellboot S100 Model Kit

The Schnellboot S-100 was the definitive German motor torpedo boat of World War II, capable of 42 knots with its three Daimler-Benz MB 511 diesel engines. Unlike the wooden-hulled Allied PT boats and MTBs, German S-boats used composite construction with an aluminum alloy hull that was both stronger and lighter. The S-100 class carried two torpedo tubes, a 40mm Bofors, and multiple 20mm cannons. S-boats were a constant menace to Allied shipping in the English Channel and North Sea.
