Italeri 1/35 Flakpanzer IV Ostwind Model Kit

The Flakpanzer IV Ostwind ("East Wind") mounted a single 37mm Flak 43 anti-aircraft gun in an open-topped hexagonal turret on the Panzer IV chassis. Developed in 1944 to replace the inadequate Wirbelwind, the Ostwind's more powerful gun could engage Allied fighter-bombers at greater ranges. Only 43-44 were completed before war's end, making it one of the rarer German anti-aircraft tanks. Italeri's 1/35 kit features the distinctive six-sided welded turret and detailed Flak 43 gun.
