The Sturmtiger was one of the most extraordinary armored vehicles of World War II, mounting a massive 380mm rocket mortar derived from a naval depth charge launcher on a Tiger I chassis. Only 18 were built from 1943-1945, intended to demolish fortified positions during urban combat. Each rocket weighed 345 kg and required a small crane for loading. Italeri's 1/35 kit captures the enormous mortar housing and heavily armored superstructure of this rare assault gun.
