Tamiya 1/35 scale model of the Challenger 1, Britain's Cold War main battle tank that succeeded the Chieftain. Armed with the L11A5 120mm rifled gun and protected by revolutionary Chobham composite armor, the Challenger 1 saw combat in the 1991 Gulf War where it achieved the longest-range tank kill in history—a hit on an Iraqi tank at over 5,100 meters. 420 were built between 1983-1990.
