The 1/25 scale 1963 Ford Mustang II Concept by AMT recreates the show car that previewed the production Mustang. The Mustang II concept — displayed at the 1963 Watkins Glen Grand Prix — was a sleek, mid-engine two-seater that bore little physical resemblance to the four-seat pony car that would debut in April 1964. Designed by the Ford Advanced Styling Studio, the concept featured a low-slung body, racing-inspired proportions, and the distinctive running horse emblem that would become one of the most recognized logos in automotive history. While the production Mustang went in a very different direction, this concept car captured the spirit of performance that inspired the nameplate. This AMT kit preserves an important "what if" moment in Ford design history.
