Tamiya 1/35 scale model of the Volkswagen Type 166 Schwimmwagen, the most-produced amphibious vehicle in history. Over 15,000 of these VW-based 4x4 amphibians were built, featuring a sealed hull and rear-mounted propeller for water crossing. Used extensively on the Eastern Front for river reconnaissance and crossing operations. The Schwimmwagen could transition from road to water without crew preparation.
