Tamiya 1/35 scale model of the M4A3(105) Sherman with 105mm M4 howitzer. This close support variant replaced the standard 75mm gun with a 105mm howitzer for devastating HE firepower against fortifications, infantry, and soft targets. Typically assigned one per tank platoon for fire support. The 105mm Sherman also fired white phosphorus smoke rounds and could engage armored targets in emergencies with HEAT ammunition.
