Tamiya 1/35 scale model of the King Tiger (Tiger II) with Porsche turret. The early-production variant features the distinctive curved Porsche-designed turret with its rounded front—a design abandoned because the shot trap created by the curved lower turret face could deflect shells downward into the thin hull roof. Only about 50 King Tigers received this turret before switching to the Henschel flat-fronted design.
