The F-4J was the US Navy and Marine Corps' ultimate Phantom variant, featuring pulse-Doppler AN/AWG-10 radar, drooped ailerons for improved low-speed handling, and an enlarged stabilator. Marine F-4Js flew combat missions from land bases in Vietnam and later served with reserve squadrons into the 1980s.
