The 1/25 scale Boss Nova Funny Car by AMT recreates a Chevy Nova-bodied NHRA Funny Car from the wild world of professional drag racing. The Boss Nova takes the compact Nova body shell and drops it over a tube-frame chassis with a supercharged, nitromethane-burning big-block engine producing over 2,000 horsepower. The one-piece fiberglass body tilts forward to reveal the mechanical mayhem beneath. "Boss Nova" is a clever play on bossa nova (the Brazilian music style) and the Chevy Nova's reputation as a drag racing icon. Funny Cars of this era were pure spectacle — sub-six-second quarter-mile passes, 250+ mph, fire and smoke. This AMT kit captures the drama with detailed supercharged engine and flip-up body.
