AMT 1/25 1962 Pontiac Catalina Super Stock Model Kit

The 1/25 scale 1962 Pontiac Catalina Super Stock by AMT recreates one of the most dominant drag racing machines of the early '60s. Pontiac's factory Super Stock program put the lightweight Catalina body on a strict diet — aluminum body panels, stripped interiors, and the brutal 421ci Super Duty V8 with twin four-barrel carburetors producing over 400 horsepower. These "Swiss Cheese" Catalinas (so named because factory engineers drilled holes in the frame to save weight) terrorized NHRA Super Stock classes, winning championships and embarrassing smaller, supposedly faster cars. This AMT kit captures the stripped-down Catalina Super Stock in its race-ready configuration. A tribute to Pontiac's factory racing program and the golden age of production-based drag racing.
