Italeri 1/72 F-4 Phantom Fg 1 Model Kit

The McDonnell Douglas Phantom FG.1 is the Royal Navy's variant of the F-4, modified with Rolls-Royce Spey turbofan engines for carrier operations from HMS Ark Royal. The British Phantoms' Spey engines required wider intakes and a longer rear fuselage, giving them a subtly different appearance from American F-4s. After Ark Royal's decommissioning, RAF took over the Fleet Air Arm Phantoms for air defense. This 1/72 scale Italeri kit captures the distinctive British Phantom with its Spey-specific modifications.
