Hasegawa 1/48 Kawanishi N1k1-ja Shiden George Model Kit

The Kawanishi N1K1-Ja Shiden (Violet Lightning, Allied codename "George") was one of the IJN's most capable late-war fighters, originally derived from a floatplane design. The N1K1-J's unique mid-wing configuration required complex telescoping landing gear, but its four 20mm cannons and excellent maneuverability made it feared by Allied pilots. Ace Kaneyoshi Muto famously used the Shiden to engage and drive off a large formation of Hellcats single-handedly. This 1/48 scale Hasegawa kit captures this formidable interceptor.
