Tamiya 1/48 scale model of the JGSDF Komatsu LAV (Light Armored Vehicle). Japan's standard wheeled infantry fighting vehicle since 2002, the 4x4 LAV carries a crew of four plus four infantry in a compact, air-transportable package. Armed with a 12.7mm machine gun or 40mm grenade launcher, it fills the light reconnaissance and infantry mobility role for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.
