Tamiya 1/24 scale model of the Mercedes-Benz 300SL "Gullwing" coupe. One of the most iconic automobiles ever produced, the 300SL was the fastest production car of its era with a top speed of 163 mph thanks to its Bosch mechanical fuel-injected 3.0-liter inline-six—the first production car to use fuel injection. The signature gullwing doors were necessitated by the tubular space frame chassis that ran along the door sills.
