The 40-foot container chassis trailer is the standard platform for transporting intermodal shipping containers between ports, rail terminals, and distribution centers. The skeletal frame design minimizes weight while providing twist-lock mounting points that securely hold standard ISO containers. Tri-axle suspension handles the maximum gross weight of a loaded 40-foot container (approximately 30 tons). This 1/24 Italeri kit features the container chassis with twist locks, landing gear, and can be displayed with or without the included 40-foot container.
