SANTA CLARITA, Calif. — Premium Bandai will open preorders for the SMP [Shokugan Modeling Project] Mazinger Z “Pilder On!” Set on October 10 at 13:00 (JST)—tonight at 9:00 PM Pacific—with delivery slated for April 2026. The kit is listed at ¥8,500 (tax incl.) and sold via the Bandai Candy / Premium Bandai channels.
The set matters for U.S. builders because SMP continues to blur the line between “candy toy” and full-featured plastic model: color-molded runners, poseable assembly, and effect parts at an accessible price point.
